1. Multiple Operator Support
The system is capable of receiving SMS from all operators in the country. In fact, the user does not have to know to which mobile operator they belong. All they need to know is just the short code to send SMS.
2. Multilingual SMS Support
It is necessary that the system needs to support multi-language SMS. By default, the system understands Thai and English languages. Other languages can be made available by adding some fonts to the admin program.
3. One Short code for multi TV Program
One short code can be commonly used by multiple TV Program. This great feature can be achieved by scheduling the time slot to process an incoming SMS. Applying this policy to the system, an incoming SMS will always fall down into one unique TV program at a time. TV programs can be in a different TV Channel. There is no restriction on that.
4. Long text SMS
What makes Playwork’s SMS on Screen system far better than competitors is the feature to support long text SMS sending from the user. Lack of this feature will greatly suffer the administrator, who is responsible for selecting SMS to show on screen, because the long SMS will generally be divided into parts by the SMSC prior to arrive to the system. As a result, an administrator has to carefully read multiple fragmented SMS, and try to imagine whether the SMS is completed or fragmented, and if so, where is another part of SMS? Having this feature greatly helps an administrator to quickly and easily manage the long MO SMS.
5. Poll System
In addition to receiving the comments from users, the system also provides the poll system to vote on some hot issues. Because the short code is unique, enabling this feature requires a “keyword” in a message.
A keyword is merely a pre-defined word in the system. Its solely objective is to tell the system in which activity the user wants to participate. Normally, the first word in a SMS is considered to be the keyword. The system will extract that word, and check if it matches any keyword defined.
The poll result can be showed on the screen. Partner can specify the interval time to show and hide the poll outcome. This kind of activities can help attracting people to stay with the program.
6. Theme Support
Imagine how much you can impress the customer when your SMS panel is changed to the new them on Christmas day! Undoubtedly, this feature can help capturing the people’s eyes. And that will increase the chance for people to stay tuned, or even send SMS to participate.
Themes can be dynamically changed according to the TV Program’s plan. It can be configured to automatically change, or pre-scheduled changing time. Those actions can be configured via the web admin.
7. Group SMS
One of the key features in the web tool is the capability to group the target mobile number. Customer can create, modify, and delete the group freely as well as assign the numbers to each group. There is no restriction on grouping the mobile number; one number can be assigned to multiple groups. This flexibility brings no limitation to numbering management.
Emoticon is a little image describing an emotion of the sender, such as smiley, sadly, funny, or hungry. It is mapped to the specific character. For instance, a smiley emoticon (☺) can be mapped to ":)" characters. As such, if the SMS contains a ": )" character, the system will display a "☺" picture on the screen.
Emoticons make the text based conversation more colorful. People usually send it in the chat conversion.
A number of emoticons are defined by default. However, if desire, the partner can additionally define their own emoticons. Doing so is very easy; partner just need go to the web tool and add.
9. Word Filtering System
Words can be graceful, and can be harmful. Even though we regards to every comments, we need to filter it prior to show to the public. Improper words can be automatically filtered out by the system. Prior to show the word to the screen, the system will check if there is any word matched in the prohibited list. If it found, the word will be replaced by a series of the "*" characters. If they wish, partners can s elect not to show the sentence containing the prohibited word on the screen.
10. Manual SMS
Sometimes there are not much SMS in the program. Or, there might be some, but only rude sentences, which surely we don't want to show it on the screen. To handle this kind of situations, the system provides the tool to manually and directly add the text to the screen. The administrator can add whatever text he wants as long as it is not too long.
The text which is manually added will not be included in the summary report, as it might confuse the partner. The text merely be used in that moment, and be discarded.
11. Log and History
Every SMS is safely logged into the database. Partner can fetch to see it at a later time. The tool allows the partner to query for some specific SMS. For instance, the criteria can be the SMS in the interval date/time, or SMS sent from some specific numbers.
12. WEB Admin and Report
The online web admin allows partners to login to the system anywhere, anytime. For the sake of security reason, only the authorized people can access to the system. Once logged in, partner can manage SMS, view reports as well as enjoy revenue forecasts.
13. Console Application
The console application is where an administrator selects the SMS to display on the screen. It is generally installed to the computer located next to the TV control room. The reason is because some parts of the system will have to connect to the channel selector.
The application requires the Internet connection as it needs to fetch SMS data from the backend system. Only 1 Mbps Internet link is enough for the communication.
