Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, IT or related fields
  • 3 years of related experience in implementing and maintaining critical infrastructure in 24x7 environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience in implement and troubleshoot LAN and WAN network infrastructure including TCP/IP Protocol, Ethernet, Switches, Routers and Gateways
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Linux and Windows environment
  • Practical knowledge and experience in network security, assessment and implementation
  • Practical knowledge and experience programming including shell script and PHP
  • Experience in service management processes, practices and reporting
  • Experience in large scale system application with disaster recovery environment is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of industry and standard best practices
  • Good knowledge in WiFi, WiMAX, and LTE technology is a plus
  • Candidate with RHCE, CCNA or ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
  • Self-sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written English is a must
  • Good communication skills, service-minded, enthusiastic, self-learning, able to work under pressure, hard-working

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop infrastructure or application solution supporting business requirement
  • Design and implement large infrastructure platform for system, network and security
  • Lead sub projects within own work area including network operation security, infrastructure management and network file system
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure inventory and configuration for on-going maintenance
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure security to agreed service level
  • Establish and maintain procedures and process supporting infrastructure operation
  • Establish and maintain contingency and disaster recovery plan in accordance with business continuous plan
  • Manage service performance to agreed service levels and coordinate with vendor to resolve provider performance or any disruption issues
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems based on best practices and security standard
  • Reduce cost and impact to business by minimizing the number & duration of incidents
  • Review infrastructure system for continuous improvement and provide feedback to the business unit appropriately
  • Provide second-level support for infrastructure issues in 24x7 environment
  • Require working outside working hours depend on the urgency of incident and schedule tasks
